Abstract
Abstract [en]
The following thesis Development and Construction of a Robotic Demo Station in Electrobit OÜ was made to construct a station for demonstrating the robot Mitsubishi RV-2F-D. The robot demo station was completed in time for the exhibition and consisted of an aluminum profile body, tiles made from plywood, plexiglass walls and different 3D-printed details. Detection of a sharpened pencil was made with the help from a photoelectric sensor and a compressor was installed to provide air to robots’ pneumatic gripper. There were a few difficulties programming the robot because it was done directly through the simulation program, while connected to the robot, so the movement was in real time. Thus, some damage was done to the surrounding details, due to the imperfection of the program. The demo fulfilled its purpose in the exhibitions and was of great help acquiring new contacts from people who work in that field. The author of this thesis mainly contributed to this project by determining the initial size of the station, finally putting it all together and programming the robot. Contribution is considered that way because making the electrical and pneumatic connections didn’t take very much time.
