Abstract

Antud lõputöö eesmärgiks oli projekteerida autode katuseboks ning seeläbi leida lahendus, kuidas oleks kõige lihtsam viis kaanevahetust sooritada. Projekteerides tuli arvesse võtta turul enim müüdavate bokside mõõte. Tuli välja selgitada sobivaim valmistamise tehnoloogia ning analüüsida sobivaid materjale, milledeks olid kokkuvõttes ABS plastik ning tootele kuju andmiseks vaakumvormimine. Eesmärgi saavutamisele aitas lähemale viia isiklikud kogemused katusebokside ja nende konstruktsioonidega. Projekti raames töötati välja kaanevahetust abistava lukustussüsteemi. Kõrge kvaliteediga lukumehhanismid tagavad nii parkimise ajal boksi paigutatud pagasi ohutuse, kui ka sõidu ajal vaikse ja tiheda detailide omavahelise mehaanilise kinnituse. Selgitati välja ka vajalikud kulutused, mille abil käesolevat prototüüpi üldse võimalik valmistada oleks. Kulutused olid küll kõrgevõitu, aga arvestades esimesi vormimisi, kus tuleb tõenäosusega pidevaid korrektuure teha, on kulutused põhjendatud. Valmis disaini ja alumiiniumvormiga on suurema seeriatootmise korral võimalik omahinda suuresti langetada, tõustes teiste ettevõtetega konkurentsivõimeliseks. Tehti konkurentsianalüüs, milles selgus, et käesolev toode pakub esialgu paberil konkurentsi vaid innovaatilisusega. Ka tarbijauuring leidis, et inimestel on katuseboksides ruumi nii ülearu olnud, kui ka puudust tundnud, mistõttu on inimestel huvi toote vastu olemas. Vaja vaid hind konkurentsivõimeliseks nihutada.

Abstract [en]

The main goal of this final paper was to design car’s roof box with changeable lid and therefore find a solution how to ease the lid changing. While designing, measurements of the top article roof boxes had to be taken in consideration. Manufacturing technology had to be selected and also the material choice which the box details were made of, which were in conclusion ABS plastic and shaping process vacuum forming. While achieveing the goal, the personal experience with using the roof boxes and their constructions came in help During the design, locking mechanism was developed that helped with the lid changing. High quality locking mechanisms assure the security and safety of the baggage during parking, in addition to silence while driving and tightness to prevent fluids getting in. Also the the necessary expenses were found, whereby the product was even possible to make. Expenses were slightly high, but they are reasonable, because of the probable changes that has to be made during the first forming operations. Large production is already possible with completed design and aluminum forms that will reduce the self costs, letting the product rise in the competition with the other companies. Competition analyse was made, in which revealed that initially, the product will offer competition only with the innovation. Also the consumer research found that users tend to have excessive free storage left in the box after packing, and also they tend to have lack in the free space, therefore consumers are interested. Only thing that needs to be done is to shift the price into the competetive range.
