Abstract

Projektis välja töötatud transportkatet projekteerides on lähtutud konkureerivate tootjate katete ja kattesüsteemide positiivsetest ning negatiivsetest omadustest, arvestatud on autojuhtide ning transpordiga tegelevate firmade poolt esitatud nõudmistega. Eesmärgiks püstitati välja töötada konkureerivast tootest parendatud omadustega ning soodsam kattesüsteem. Kuna kate on mõeldud kasutamiseks eelkõige puistematerjali veol, siis kõige suurem väljakutse oli projekteerida siinide süsteem, mis toimiks ka tolmuses keskkonnas ning võimaldaks kasutada kettajamit katte avamisel ning sulgemisel. Kuna kummirihmadega kinnitatavad ning küljele kokku rullitavad katted oma omadustelt pole konkureerivad, siis lähtuti sarnaste omadustega Rootsi firma Målerås Mekaniska AB kattesüsteemist „Fliptop Gear“. Antud kattesüsteemi negatiivseteks omaduseks on tagaluugi kohal asetsev käärsüsteem ning avamisel konteineri kohal nõutav vaba ruum, katte projekteerimisel on neid puudujääke arvesse võetud ning kasutatud erinevaid lahendusi. Tulemuseks on konkurendist paremate kasutusomadustega toode, mis annab turul märgatava eelise.

Abstract [en]

This project is about designing a transport cover for a container. This transport cover will find use on transportation containers for grain, sawdust, sand, gravel and other bulk materials. At the moment products offered in the market are either too primitive to use and not correctly fitted or too expensive and require an additional installation costs. Transport companies are interested in this product due to the fact that the bulk materials must be covered during transport. Covers must ensure that there is no release of the load during transport and must protect the goods from the weather. The goal was to develop a product with improved properties and lower cost. The cover is designed with demands of drivers and transport companies taken into account. All the positive and negative properties of competing products are also taken into account. The biggest challenge was to develop a new guide rail system which will work also in dusty conditions and allow the use of chain drive. With chain driven cover there is no need to climb to the edge of the container which reduces the risk of injuries to happen to employees. The result is a product with better properties, that is more comfortable and quicker to use and which provides a significant advantage in the market.
