Abstract

Käesoleva lõputöö teema pärineb ettevõttest Meiren Engineering OÜ, mille põhiliseks tegevusvaldkonnaks on lumesahkade tootearendus, valmistamine ja müük Meiren SNOW kaubamärgi all. Meiren Machinery kaubamärgi alla kuuluvad teehooldusplatvorm ning vaiade rammimise seade. Lisaks pakutakse Meiren Engineering kaubamärgi all projekteerimisteenuseid. Ettevõtte toodangu põhilised sihtturud on Skandinaavia maad kuhu eksporditakse ligikaudu 90% kogu toodangust. Seoses ettevõtte juhtkonna sooviga laiendada Meiren Machinery tootevalikut on tekkinud idee projekteerida küljeltlaetav prügiveok. Idee sai alguse ettevõtte peadisainerilt, kes seoses varasemate ametitega on kokku puutunud prügiveokite ehituse ning hooldusega. Muude tegevuste kõrvalt on ta tegelenud uudse küljeltlaetava prügiveoki tootearenduse visiooni loomisega. 2012. aasta lõpuks on valminud veoki kere eskiislahendus, mille tehnilised sõlmed vajavad välja arendamist. Lõputöö autori ülesandeks sai tõstmismehhanismi välja töötamine. Projekti esimeseks etapiks oli ettevõttelt Invent Baltics OÜ tellitud turu-uuringu analüüs, mille andmetel on olemasolevate küljeltlaetavate prügiveokite hinnad ligikaudu kaks korda kõrgemad, kui tagantlaetavate omad. Seetõttu on viimased ka laialdasemalt kasutuses, kuigi küjeltlaetaval veokil on mitmeid eeliseid tagantlaetava ees. Konkurentide uuringut läbi viies selgus, et küljeltlaadijate erinevaid lahendusi ei ole palju ning puudub uudsus, mis annaks turul teiste ees eelise. Sellest tulenevalt on seadme projekteerimisel püstitatud tähtsaimaks nõudeks, et seade peab prügikonteinereid haarama mõlemalt auto küljelt. Konkurentidel sellist funktsiooni ei ole. Lisaks peab seade olema kompaktse, lihtsa ja töökindla konstruktsiooniga. Meiren Engineering OÜ valmistab oma tooteid allhanke korras ettevõttes AS Paide Masinatehas, seetõttu tuli projekteerimisel arvestada ka sealsete tehnoloogiliste võimalustega. Peale projekteeritavale seadmele nõuete määramist loodi tõstemehhanismi eskiislahendus ning alustati arvutil 3D-modelleerimist. Lahendati keerukamad sõlmed – ülekanne ja poomi tõstmine hüdrosilindriga. Välja arvutati erinevatele mehhanismi osadele mõjuvate jõudude suurused ning leitud väärtusi kasutati konstruktsiooni tugevuse ja jäikuse kontrollimiseks FEM-analüüsi abil. Viimaks arvutati toote prototüübi omahind, mille suurusjärk on hinnanguliselt 8000 eurot. Töö tulemusena on projekteeritud prügikonteineri tõstmise seade Meiren Machinery prügiveoki tarbeks, mis vastab kõikidele püstitatud nõuetele.

Abstract [en]

The topic of this thesis is „Developing a lifting mechanism for side-loading refuse collection truck.“ This project is based on Meiren Engineering OÜ, a company which is mainly known in Scandinavian countries for it’s innovative and high quality snowplows which have won several awards. Besides the snowplows, Meiren is offering complete mechanical engineering service, from generating ideas for machines and devices to drafting final assembly plans. To expand the range of products Meiren is offering, the head of product design came up with an idea to start developing a side-loading refuse collection truck. Possessing vast expirience in the field of refuse collection truck construction and service, he has been developing a vision of product design for this project. By the end of 2012, the basic design is ready. Next step was to generate the features for collecting and packing the garbage and solving them from mechanical aspect . The author of this thesis was assigned to develop a garbage container lifting mechanism based on erected objectives. First step was to work through market analysis which was carried out by company named Invent Baltics OÜ. Conclusion of this research indicates that side-loaders are almost twice as expensive as rear-loaders. Although having greater potential and advantages over rear-loaders, price is main reason why they are not commonly used. At the beginning of development, a set of objectives was defined. Main idea of this project was to develop a mechanism which is able to lift garbage bins from both sides of the truck. This feature makes this mechanism innovative and has certain advantages over competitor’s solutions. Another objective was to keep the design of the mechanism simple and dependable. While designing, the technological possibilities of AS Paide Masinatehas had to be kept in mind because all of Meiren Engineering’s products are manufactured there. After defining objectives of this project, the draft of lifting mechanism was created and 3D-modeling had begun. The gearing components and hydraulic cylinder were chosen according to calculations and purpose of the mechanism. Loads were calculated for most critical parts of the assembly and used to carry out stress and displacement analysis using finite element method (FEM). Estimated production cost of the prototype of this mechanism is about 8000 euros. As a result of this project, a lifting mechanism for Meiren’s side-loading refuse collection truck has been developed, meeting every requirement that has been set at the beginning.
