Abstract

Abstract [en]

At today's fast pace of life, we need the chances to return to the space, to the moment, and to ourselves. In a nervous urban environment, we often deal not only with today's but also with tomorrow's problems, so we are always far away in our minds. Often, we collect problems and stress in ourselves and do not give ourselves the opportunity to deal with them. Traveling, hiking and exercise are the best ways to do that. The village of Neeme could be an ideal Sunday sanctuary for a Tallinner to ride, hike or just discover. In the small coastal village the time stands still, as it fascinates with its silence and beautiful nature. A hike to the Neeme Village is framing a beautiful hiking trail around the historic fishing village, starting from the Center building, passing through Uitro spit’s military sites and the viewpoint of the eastern shore of the peninsula, Kadakaranna. The Neeme Center building has a multifunctional hall that could be accommodated with sports facilities for school and kindergarten, as well as for local residents. Furthermore, there could also be larger events held in the hall, as it has a hydraulically liftable stage. The building also works as a start and info point for the hiking trail. Uitro spit’s military sites became a natural and military tourism park. Taking advantage of the foundations of the existing buildings and walls, the sauna, toilet and chapel were formed. Kadaranna's viewpoint was marked as a beautiful place in Neeme village, where there is also a possibility to swim. From the points passing through the hiking trail, a schematic triangle forms that characterizes the project as a whole, regardless of distances between the points. A whole that encompasses the reciprocation of nature and architecture. The purpose of a triangular hiking trail is to invite people to a Sunday outing to forget about their everyday concerns, to move around and to experience the unique nature of this place.
