Abstract

Lõputöö sisuks on Kirdalu-Kiisa manatee objekti näitel ebastabiilsete pinnastega alale tee ehitamise võrdlus – pinnase väljavahetamine vs mass-stabiliseerimine tsemendi ja tuha seguga. Töö esimeses pooles on autor keskendunud Soomes varem teostatud tööde ja Eestis enne kõnealuse objekti ehitamist läbi viidud uurimustele ja katsetöödele. Töö teises pooles on toodud informatsioon olemasoleva objekti lähteülesande kohta ja selgitused objektil teostatud töö kohta. Töö teine osa sisaldab ka analüüsi mass-stabiliseerimise ja väljavahetamise tööde maksumuse kohta, millele järgneb töö autori poolt koostatud hinnang ja arvamus mass-stabiliseerimise sobivuse kohta.

Abstract [en]

The purpose of the Strengthening Unstable Soils: Mass Stabilization or Replacement Based on the Kirdalu-Kiisa Object thesis is to find out what is mass stabilization and the nature and content of the process including the work process and resources needed to carry out the said process. Thanks to the pilot projects and experiments concerning mass-stabilization carried out in Estonia, there is a lot of positive feedback. The roads where mass stabilization technique was used are very stable and there are few cracks and sinks compared to the ordinarily built roads. These experiments illustrate the need to introduce mass stabilization more widely in Estonia. The other purpose the thesis was to find out which process is more expensive and time consuming - mass stabilization or excavation and backfilling. I drew up calculations on mass stabilization of soil and on the construction of soil by excavation and embankment. Calculations show that mass stabilization is not more expensive than the said alternative.
