Abstract

Hoonete grupp koosneb neljast 1-2 korruselisest viisnurksest hoonemahust.

Abstract [en]

The newly independent Republic of Estonia has had a successful economic development, accompanied by the migration of the population to larger centers. The increase in the population of economic prosperity and attraction centers has increased the number of cars and its consumption, with traffic congestion and the number of traffic accidents. In urban populations, the need for social services (kindergartens, schools and day care places) It is possible to disperse traffic and reduce the consumption of cars if the urban space needs to be taken into consideration when designing urban space. (which would also reduce urban pollution and traffic accidents) The public needs to provide the necessary business, cultural and social services in the vicinity of the locality. The task of this graduation thesis is to plan and design a multifunctional building in Mähe, located in Tallinn, Pirita district. A community building with four main functions of care, a first level school (elementary school), services (business) and hobby groups (art, theater, cinema). Four functions are interrelated in psychological and spatial use, which gives the building (s) a full day use (home as a living machine). School and childcare use services and hobbies and vice versa (pedagogical integration, synergy). Services, business premises for home offices, rental premises for meetings (home offices), premises for companies, associations of citizens, apartment associations and family counseling office. Daycare services for dementers for the elderly. Integrated catering for school, child care and the local population. The architectural idea of the building complex is four buildings with a pentagonal shape, three of which are interconnected with the lower floor. The volumes of two to one storey buildings are an architectural connection between the larger apartment buildings and smaller houses in the neighboring "bridge". A public building can be built and put into operation in stages, which gives the municipality or, (and) private equity a more flexible facility for financing the building. By connecting logistical hubs and providing social services, a multifunctional building with a courtyard will become the center of Mähe, where residents of different ages can learn, sport, play, relax and have time to consume. The merger of Plats and Green will create a good public space through which a common communication platform for citizens can be created. With the availability of affordable commercial, cultural and social services, the need for car use is decreasing, which should also have an impact on the reduction of traffic load in Tallinn.
