Abstract

Hoonekompleks on põhiplaanilt ringikujuline, koosnedes neljast erineva mahuga osast, millest kõrgeim on silindrikujuline torn. Kompleksi on kavandatud kontserdi- ja teatrisaal, kunstigalerii, kunstikool, huvikeskus, restoran ja bürooruumid. Kontserdisaal on lahendatud ühetasandilise black boxina (musta kastina), mida on võimalik ümber ehitada vastavalt kultuuriürituse tüübile ja vaatajate arvule. Lisaks on Black box seotud välisruumiga, avanedes lükanduste abil sisehoovi, võimaldades soojal ajal pidada sisehoovis erinevaid üritusi. Restoran paikneb läbi kolme korruse, mille kolmandal korrusel asub kohvik suure terrassiga, mis avaneb panoraamvaatega merele. Huvikeskuse ja bürooruume saab vastavalt vajadusele ümber kohandada. Suveetenduste ja kontserdite korraldamiseks on loodud amfiteater. Kultuurikeskuse ette rajatakse park, kus on puhkekohad, purskkaev, lastele mänguväljakud. Viimsi multifunktsionaalse kultuurikeskuse kavandamisega saab elanikkond head võimalused oma huvide arendamiseks, ühistegevusteks ning kogu perega vaba aja veetmiseks.

Abstract [en]

The thesis represents the design of a multifunctional cultural centre that is planned to Haabneeme borough in Viimsi County. The location of the design is at the southern end area of the Haabneeme beach, which from one side is next to a small residential area, and from the other end it is surrounded by former Kirov’s fishing collective premises. There are 19.3 thousand people living at Viimsi county and the continuous growth of the population has led to a need for larger and modernized spaces. It is also necessary to have a larger hall to hold different cultural events. The main idea is to create a new connection between the land and the sea by creating a landmark. The building layout and its axes through the building were developed from the specifics of the site - sun orientation, wind direction, cardinal directions and possible flow of the people. The building complex floorplan resembles a circle that consists of four different volumes, of which the highest is the cilindrical tower. The design features a concert and a theatre hall, an art gallery, an art school, a hobby centre, a restaurant and office space. The concert hall is designed as a single-level black box, which allows the floorplan to change, based on the event being held and the number of visitors. The black box is also connected to the outdoors by an opening to the courtyard. The restaurant is designed through three floors and on the third floor there is a café with a large terrace that has a panoramic view to the sea. The art school is designed through two floors. An amphitheatre has been fitted for summer plays and concerts, and a square and a park have been designed in front of the cultural centre. With the design of the multifunctional cultural centre, people will have great opportunities to deal with their hobbies and develop new interests, they also get to spend time with their families during joint activities or events.
