Abstract

Töö peamiseks eesmärgiks oli parandada sõiduki pedaalide esialgset asendit. Tööd motiveeris ette võtma ka teadmine, et ralliauto Tauria viiakse peale tema valmimist Eesti Mootorispordi Muuseumisse, mis omakorda võimaldab hiljem ka tehtud tööd muuseumis vaadata. Samuti on autoril huvi vanatehnika vastu ning Tauria projektis osalemine avardas silmaringi. Oli võimalik näha ja osaleda võrdlemisi suures projektis, kus töötasid sama aegselt mitmed tudengid ja ka õppejõud. Tauria taastamine on ka kunagise ralliauto taastamine, seega taastatakse tükike Eesti motospordi ajaloost. Töö ettevõtmisel viidati, et võiks kasutada sõiduki taastamisel ajastukohaseid materjale ja töövõtteid. Kuna Eestis 80ndatel oli väga levinud auto Lada, siis autor valis suurema osa kasutatavatest detailidest Lada 2101 järgi. Pedaalide lõppasendini jõudmiseks valmistati mitmeid proovitükke, prooviti erinevaid olemasolevaid originaalseid pedaale ja erinevaid lahendusi. Autor pidas nõu ka juhendajaga, õppejõududega ning samuti kaastudengitega. Pedaalide loomisel uuriti ka olemasolevate seeriaautode lahendusi ning ka ümberehitatud sõidukitele kohandatud detaile. Peamiselt otsiti gaasipedaali lahendusi, kuid oli huvitav vaadata ka teisi pedaale. Pedaalide projekteerimisel suunas autor rõhu piduripedaalile, kuna pidur on ohutuse mõttes kõige tähtsam ja saab ka kõige suurema koormuse. Piduripedaal valmis kahest Lada piduripedaalist. Samuti sai võetud ka siduripedaali toorikuks Lada siduripedaal, mis sai vastavalt modifitseeritud. Mõlemate pedaalide lõppeesmärk oli saada pedaalid sobivasse asendisse sõitja jaoks. Gaasipedaal on loodud autori poolt, kasutades käesolevaid materjale. Ühendused ja liited detailide vahel on peamiselt tehtud keevisühendused. Sõitjatele on pedaalide asukoht väga oluline eelkõige ergonoomilisuse ja ohutuse poolest. Autor paigaldas pedaalid võimalikult heale asukohale, jättes seega muutmata kere ehitust ratta koopa näol, ning kuna iste on fikseeritud sõiduki kere külge, tuli silmas pidada lisaks pedaalide külgsuunalisele kaugusele ka pikisuurnalist vahemaad juhi ja pedaalide vahel. Lõputöö ja kogu Tauria projekt on üldiselt olnud autorile positiivne kogemus. Töö oli huvitav ja kohati ka keerukas. Pedaalide koostamisel tehti CAD programmis erinevatele lahendustele ka tugevusanalüüsid, millest kõige vastupidavam versioon ka valmis tehti.

Abstract [en]

The main goal of this thesis was to improve original placement of vechicle pedals. One of the motivators for choosing this exact project was a fact that Tauria will be going to the Eesti Mootorispordi Muuseum, so that it is possible to see the car in the museum later on when the car is complete. Also one of the reasons was the authors own interest in classic cars and Tauria was the perfect project to learn from. Author had the possibilty to see and take part in quite big project, where many other students and also lecturers attended. Restoring Tauria is basically restoring a piece of Estonian motor sport history. In the beginning of the job it was said that it would be suitable to use materials and work ethics from the era when Tauria was created. In the 80’s car brand called Lada was quite popular, that’s why the author chose most of the used parts from Lada 2101 model. To achieve the final position for the pedals, many test pieces were made. Author tried many original manufacturer (Lada) products and thought of other possible solutions to put the pedals in place. Author discussed different options with his mentor and other students that worked on the car at the time. Author also did research on other car brands and models to see different pedal solutions. Main goal for the research was the accelerator pedal, specially since the car is middle engine and accelerator pedal is mechanically driven via cable. The most important pedal, the one that author spent the most time on was the brake pedal, since it’s the most important of the three and it must be able to handle heavy st ress caused by the driver. Brake pedal is made of two separate Lada brake pedals. Clutch pedal is also from Lada 2101 model and was modified accordingly. The main goal for both brake and clutch pedal was to get them to acceptable position for the driver. Accelerator pedal is completely handmade using the materials that author was able to get. Most of the connections in the pedal modifications were done using MIG / MAG welding technology. Pedal placement is very important, mostly because of ergonomics and safety. Author placed the pedals into the best available position he could, considering that the body and frame could not be modified. Lateral distance for the pedals was quite restricted by the wheel arch and heater core. Also because the seat is fixed to the floor and is not adjustable, the frontal distance for the pedals had to stay the same as it was originally. Thesis and the whole Tauria project was positive experience for the author. The designing and construction proccess was interesting and sometimes difficult. While constructing the pedals, author made different models for different possibilities and performed stress analyzes, from which he chose the strongest one to make the actual pedal.
