Abstract

Diplomitöö eesmärk oli 1986. aastal valmistatud, kuid mitte lõpuni arendatud keskmootoriga B-rühma ralliautole Tauria külma õhu sissevõtusüsteemi projekteeriminet ja valmistamine. Sõiduki ehitusaastal keelustati B-rühm ning sõiduki arendustegevus peatati- üheks puuduvaks sõlmeks jäi väljastpoolt mootoriruumi värsket ja külma õhku võttev süsteem. Lähtudes nõuetest ja kitsendavatest teguritest, anti ülevaade vajalikest teoreetilistest alustest, mille põhjal projekteerida nimetatud sõidukile külma õhu sissevõtusüsteem. Anti lühike ülevaade Taurial kasutusel olevast mootori karakteristikast ning mootoriga tehtud muudatustest, käigukastist ning peaülekandest. Selgitati, mis põhjusel kasutada mootori tööks madalama temperatuuriga õhku. Tehti ülevaade täiteastme suurendamise võimalustest ning selgitati lähemalt Tauria puhul võimalikest kasutatavatest meetoditest. Tõestati, miks algselt mootoriruumikattele tehtud sissevõtuava paiknemine ega kuju ei oleks toiminud. Kirjeldati erinevatest materjalidest ning erineva kujuga õhufiltrite valikuvõimalusi ning tehti arvutused sobiva kuju ning suurusega õhufiltri valimiseks. Projekteerimisel lähtuti saadud analüüsi tulemustest ning sõiduki omaniku (tellija) poolt seatud kitsendavatest asjaoludest. Kokku projekteeriti neli lehtmetallist detaili– karburaatorite peal asetsev õhukast koos filtri kinnitusvahenditega; õhukasti küljele kinnituv filtrikorpus, elastse elemendi tihendusplaat ning mootoriruumikatte katusepinnale kinnituv kolu. Lisaks kasutati viite erinevat ostutoodet– kummimaterjalist elastset elementi; lõdvikuklambreid elastse elemendi kinnitamiseks; tõmbeneete kolu ning tihendusplaadi kinnitamiseks; portelukke filtrikorpuse kinnitamiseks õhukasti külge; tihendit õhukasti ning filtrikorpuse omavaheliseks tihendamiseks. Anti ülevaade kasutatud materjalidest ning detailide valmistamistehnoloogiast. Kulude kohta koostati aruanne, kus kajastusid kulud materjalidele, ostutoodetele, projekteerimisele, valmistamisele ning dokumentatsiooni koostamisele. Lõpptulemusena valmis külma õhu sissevõtusüsteem, mis paigaldati Tauria ralliautole.

Abstract [en]

The purpose of thesis Design of Cold Air Intake for Tauria Rallycar was to design and produce a cold air intake system for a mid engined Group B rallycar Tauria that was originally built in 1986. Due to the disestablishment of the class, the developing process came to a halt. One of the missing systems was a cold air intake that was supposed to take its air outside the engine compartment. Taking into account the requirements and restrictions, a cold air intake was designed for the vehicle. The first part of thesis gave an overview of the original and modified characteristics of the engine used in Tauria. The reason for the use of lower temperature air was explained. The possibilities to increase volumetric efficiency were named and potential methods for using them in Tauria were explained. The original roof scoop location was analysed and it was proven and explained why it would not have worked. A variety of air filters were described and calculations for a suitable air filter were made. The second part of the thesis concentrated on the designing process that was guided by the analysis made in the first part, limitations of the vehicle structure and by the vehicle owner's wishes. A total of four sheet metal details were designed – an airbox that is located on top of carburetors, an air filter cover that fastens to the side of the airbox, a sealing plate for the rubber boot and a roof scoop that fastens onto the top of the engine compartment cover. Also, five kinds of purchase products were used – a rubber boot, hose clamps, pop rivets, adjustable latches and a rubber sealing. The third part described used materials and the fabrication progress of details - cutting, bending and welding processes. It also included the calculations of usage and costs of materials, purchase products, design, manufacturing and documentations. As the final result, the cold air intake for Tauria was produced and assembled into the vehicle.
