Abstract

Diplomitöö eesmärgiks oli lahendada ralliauto Tauria murekohad esisillas. Nendeks olid rooliõlaku ja stabilisaatorivarda puudulikkus. Rooliõlaku ülesanne on tagada vastupidav ühendus roolivarda ning käänmiku vahel. Arvesse tuli võtta roolipunkti asendit ruumis, mis mõjutab sõiduki juhitavust erinevates olukordades ja sõiduohutust. Stabilisaatori puhul leidis kasutust detail Lada 2106 pealt. Jäikuse sobivuse ning dimensioonide ühitamisega veermikuga ning ostutoodete ja ümberehituse kombineerimisega õnnestus Tauria esisilla käitumist niivõrd parandada, et olla rajal suutlikum. Teoreetiliselt ei ole sõiduk enam ülejuhitavuse poolest ebastabiilne. Paranenud on kurviläbimise võimekus. Stabilisaatori lõplikku vajadust näitab katsetus, kui sõiduk on valmis saadud. Proovisõit annab ülevaate sõiduki käitumisest ning võimaldab anda konkreetse hinnangu. Töö tulemini on jõutud teoreetiliselt. Töö ajal esines mitmeid ootamatuid probleeme. Rooliõlakuga seoses äärmiselt piiratud ruum, arvestama pidi käänmiku kujuga, šarniiride, õõtshoobade ja velje paiknemisega ning pidurisadula ja –vooliku asendiga. Vedrustuse käiguga oli rooliotsa liigendi lukustumiseoht ehk rooliots piiras vedrustuse käiku. Stabilisaatori konstrueerimisel esines komplikatsioone ühenduse loomisel õõtshoovaga. Töö tulemusena said probleemid ja ohud likvideeritud. Praktiline töö toetub teooriale. Arvestatud on erinevate füüsikaliste ning veermiku kinemaatiliste parameetritega. Eelnevalt on läbi viidud lahenduskäike ning tugevusarvutusi, kasutatud virtuaalseid veermiku simulatsiooni ja detailide projekteerimise keskkonda, tagamaks näitajate sobivuse ning detailide vastupidavuse. Antud tööga on antud panus Eesti autospordi ajaloo säilitamisse. Ralliautot Tauria ootab valmides eksponaadi staatus Eesti Mootorispordi Muuseumis.

Abstract [en]

Topic of this thesis is Designing and Constructing the Steering Arm and Front Stabilizer Bar for Race Car Tauria. Mid-engine Tauria race car was a custom build that dates back to 1986. It has ZAZ 1102 Tauria body, custom tubular frame and various parts from vehicles known back then. Front axle was from Lada for example. Only three custom race cars were originally made. One of them is in Tallinn University of Applied Sciences for restoration. The purpose of this thesis was to give solutions to certain issues in the front axle of Tauria. These issues were the lack of steering arm and front stabilizer bar. The function of the steering arm is to secure rigid connection between the steering rod and knuckle, and therefore assure the steerability of the vehicle. Steering arm pivot points were strongly taken into consideration, these coordinates affect the handling and steerability under different driving conditions and certainly the safety. Stabilizer bar, also known as anti roll bar or sway bar, is used to reduce body roll of a vehicle during cornering. Lada 2106 stabilizer bar was fitted to Tauria. Modifications were made to achieve required parameters of the sway bar. With the work of customization, handling was improved so that Tauria could be more successful on the track. Originally Tauria had the tendency to oversteer and was unstable even on straight roads. The necessity of the front sway bar will be proven in the future, when Tauria is finished. Test drive will give the final overview of the handling and therefore recommendations and adjustments can be made. The result has been achieved theoretically. During the work process, a number of unexpected complications occurred. Due to limited space of projecting the steering arm to its original fastening, many considerations had to be taken into account, such as the shape of the steering knuckle, balljoints and wheel location, brake caliper and brake lines placement. Tie rod ball joint had the risk of locking because of suspension travel, in other words tie rod limited the travel of suspension. There was unpredictable complexity while constructing connection with anti roll bar and lower control arm. Practical work is based on theory. Different physical and kinematical parameters of the chassis have been taken into account. Numerous calculations have been made previously regarding the stress of the materials and dimensions of details. To assure durability of details, stresscalculations have been simulated virtually with CATIA software. To sum up, Tauria is a piece of Estonian motorsport history. Tauria race car will be exhibited in the Eesti Mootorispordi Muuseum after restoration.
