Abstract

Lõputöö ülesandeks oli uurida Ida-Virumaa talihoolet, leida kitsaskohti riigi,- linna ja valla teedel ning leida probleemidele lahendusi. Samuti analüüsida innovaatiliste lahenduste kasutuselevõttu Eestis. Lõputöö käigus selgus, et levinumateks probleemideks on ebatasased teed, mis on põhjustatud soolade liigsest kasutamisest, inimeste rahulolematus ning töötajatega seotud probleemid. Lõputöös tõin välja alternatiive ning innovaatilisi lahendusi, mida tuleks kasutada taristu paremaks loomisel. Üheks alternatiiviks autori arvates on autodele paigaldatud soola kontrollimise vahendid. Sest talihoolduse käigus puisatakse suurtes kogustes NaCl, MgCl2, mis teeb talihoolduse 50% kallimaks. Samuti säästaks sellega loodust ning tagaks majanduslikku kokkuhoiu. Samuti tuleks linnatänavatel kasutada Safelane, sest materjali on võimalik kasutada aastaringselt ning tänu heale koostisele aitab vältida teekatte kulumist. Linnatänavad on soolavabad ning kahjustada ei saa ümbritsev taimestik. Samuti säästaks sellega just suvise hoolduse pealt. Lõputöö kokkuvõteks leiab autor, et alternatiivsete materjalide kasutamine teehoolduses on jätkusuutlik lahendus, sest see aitab kaasa infrastruktuuri parema toimimisele, säilitada keskkonda ning tagada ühiskonna rahulolu.

Abstract [en]

The aim of the dissertation was to evaluate the winter road maintenance in Ida-Viru County, to find shortcomings in the country, city and parish’s roads and to find solutions to them. Also to analyze the usage of innovative solutions in Estonia. The research found that one of the main problems were the uneven roads, which are due to excessive usages of salt, people being unsatisfied and worker’s weak spots. In the dissertation alternative and innovative solutions to better infrastructure were pointed out. The author suggested that one of the alternatives should be installing salt controlling devices on vehicles. In the process of winter road maintenance, large amounts of NaCl and MgCl2 are poured which results in 50% more expensive maintenance. This would also save the environment and secure economic savings. On big city roads, Safelane should be used, because the material is usable all year around and due to good components it slows down the aging of road surfaces. The city streets are salt free and the surrounding flora will not get damaged. This would also largely save money on summer road maintenance. The author concludes that using alternative materials in road maintenance is a sustainable solution. It helps to better the function of infrastructure, saves the environment and provides content in the community.
