Abstract

Elektroonine jälgimissüsteem (EJS) võimaldab veoettevõtetel jälgida reaalajas veokite asukohta, kütusetaset ja kütusekulu ning kasutada seda ka edaspidistes analüüsides. EJS võimaldab allalaadida ka digitaalse tahhograafi andmeid sõltumata veoki asukohast. Antud töös analüüsitakse neid hüvesid, mida EJS pakub. Põhivajadused on lahendatud nii autotootja kui kolmanda osapoole lahendustes. Oht saada trahve on olemas ka vastutustundlikul veofirmal, kelle juht inimliku eksimuse tõttu võib tahhograafi kasutada nii, nagu pole ette nähtud. Kui sellele piisaval kiiresti reageerida, saab olukorra lahendada. Samuti on probleem kütusevargus nii juhi enda poolt, kui ka kolmandate isikute poolt. Mitmed juhid varastavad kütust mitte ainult oma tarbeks, vaid ka edasimüümise eesmärgil, rikkudes sellega firma mainet ja usaldusväärsust partnerite silmis. Euroopa Liidus toimub keskmiselt kolm veose vargust päevas. Kuigi EJS ei saa neid otseselt ära hoida, võimaldab see siiski väga operatiivselt reageerida transpordifirmal ja kontakteeruda välisriigi politseiga. Ennekõike on aga EJS vajalik veofirmale, et teada, kus autod parasjagu asuvad. Pole mingit kaalukat argumenti, miks EJS teenust mitte kasutada

Abstract [en]

Electronic fleet management (EFM) provides solution for transportation companies to track commercial vechiles position, fuel level in tank and fuel consumption in real time and log that data for further analytics. EFM makes possible to download digital tachograph data in real time. Roughly half of Estonian commercial vehiles are equipped at least GPS device and some of them equipped with GPS can also report continuously the fuel level in tank. EFM also provides solution to remotely download digital tachograph data without physical access to the vechile. In this bachelor's thesis the EFM benefits are analyzed. Basic needs for transportation company are solved by car manufaturer EFM or third party EFM. According to law, the wrong usage of tachograph can be issue for company and may result in different penalties. The fuel theft problem is important as well. Lot of truck drivers are prone and resell the stolen fuel and therefore jeopardize company reputation and competetive advantages. In EU countries, there are three cargo theft cases per day. Some of them can be discovered and cargo recovered thanks to the EFM system. Hauler companies can see in real time their cargo and dont have to call regulary to truck driver just to verify their location. Savings per truck can be near five hundred euros only due to reduced phonecalls between hauling company office and truckdriver. Geofencing can avoid truck drivers to provide services of their own interest but using company vechile and fuel. Author aim was to compare functionality of third parties solution for EFM as well as car manufactures solutions. Prices and functionality depend on company size and number of different commercial vechile brands in use. It makes no sense for starting or existing company not to use EFM service, because benefits of using EFM are clearly higher than cost of the service.
